The company was formerly known as Indsil Electrosmelts Ltd. and changed its name to Indsil Hydro Power and Manganese Limited in January 2008. The company was incorporated in 1990 and is headquartered in Coimbatore, India. Indsil Hydro Power and Manganese Limited is a subsidiary of Sunmet Holdings India Private Limited.
